Traditional grit guards just sit in the bottom of your bucket. The angled Scrub Guard lets you scrub a mitt or wash pad against it, stripping loose grit and grime so it is clean before touching the car.

90% of the scratches and swirls caused by washing happen in the contact wash, when dirt trapped between surface and mitt mars the paint. Scrub Guard creates an internal washboard inside the bucket, so a mitt or pad can be cleaned between sections, dramatically reducing swirls and scratches.

Tapered hexagonal tunnels filter out grit, stones and dirt, letting them drop to the bucket floor, sealed away from the wash solution. The ergonomic curved surface doubles as a wash board that strips off contaminants and debris the mitt picks up, so none returns to the car. Lifted out, it serves as an external wash board for rinsing and drying a mitt ready for the next wash, off the floor. Available in CC Teal and Clear Dark Teal.

Directions for use:

1. Check bucket size first; a smooth-sided tapered bucket gives a snug fit.
2. Push the guard firmly down until it sits tight.
3. Fill with water and your favourite shampoo.
4. Fit it in the rinse or wash bucket, or the 13L dedicated wheel bucket.
5. As you wash, agitate the mitt on the internal surface before it returns to the car.
